PRINTEMPS Paris – Alice Inspired Window Display
A Wonderful Display at the Printemps Paris store.
In Paris The Printemps windows are always a big attraction. And Like the Macys windows displays in New York. And so for the launch of The New Alice in Wonderland Movie. They asked several designers to interpret a modern day Alice, & similar to the idea behind Liebovitz’s shoot for American VOGUE in 2003.

The designs now displayed in the department stores front, located in boulevard Haussmann. Include those by creators Alexander McQueen, Martin Margiela, Chloé, Manish Arora.
And with London Based Kirkwood. Who has been steadily building up an impressive showbiz clientele. With celebrated trendsetters Daphne Guiness and Carie Bradshaw herself, Sarah Jessica Parker both seen steping out in his footwear. And Kirkwoods Imaginative Alice in wonderland creation. Decorated with teacups, red roses & a Pocket watch. Is also sure to further promote his unique talents.
“I am very happy to be involved in this project as I love Alice in Wonderland,” enthused the graduate of Central Saint Martins Art university of London. to Vogue.com. “My interpretation for Alice is all about fantasy and fun through escapism.”
I find the window display to be quite fascinating, and almost with a sense of dark humour and imagination for detail. i love the creative ability used, in which a different take on the Alice story has been shown. And gives me a sense of a whimsical fantasy, in the form of a charming brothers grimm story. instead of and over aray of bright colours and flowers. were given a more myserious and lost state, which does well to capture the feel of being stuck in an imaginative dream world.
Kirkwoods work was joined in the store window displays, of the Parisian department store Printemps. By a gorgeous pink puffball mini dress. Created by Alexander McQueen, a blue veiled gown by Maison Martin Margiela. And a puffy-sleeved blue mini with a playing cards motif by Manish Arora. Along with what looks like a flowing gown, only shown in sketch form by Haider Ackermann.
The entire stores interior was given a Wonderful Design.
And as tribute to the legendary Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Ladurée and Printemps has installed a tearoom with long community tables to make your own tea party.
